Spring Cleaning the #FabulouslyFrugal Way

Doesn't it actually feel Spring is on the way this weekend in the UK (sorry for my US readers that are going through a cold snap).  All this sun is actually making me realise the time has come to get out of the winter hibernation stage and start the Spring cleaning.

Spring cleaning doesn't have to be expensive or challenging, in fact you can use things that you already have and also street clear of the chemicals.

I totally love these reusable orange cleaning wipes from Blossom and Posies and I am going to be repurposing the boys old muslins that I have (yes my youngest is nine and I haven't got rid of them)!

I will also be cleaning the microwave using the natural method suggested by Daisies and Pie

I have been cleaning my washing machine without chemicals monthly for years and it really makes sense as there is no point trying to clean clothes in a dirty machine.

I have been cleaning without chemicals for around five years and one of my hero products is white vinegar.  You can do so much with it.  The same with bicarbonate of soda. Both are products that I always have in my cleaning kit.

Make sure you clean your tumble dryer if you have one, not only will it work more efficiently, but there is less of a fire risk if you move that lint.  Plus you could always make tumble dryer lint fire starters with it.

Do you have a post that is about thrifty parenting, decorating or lifestyle.  One that is about frugal food or crafts and art.  or even a post about making the post of what you have, then please do link up.
Each week we make sure we pin the post, feature some on our facebook pages and then we each have a round up on a Sunday. Let's all share that being frugal can be fabulous.

  2. We're having a spring cleaning weekend too. Miraculously, Hubby has been off work this week, and it's actually occurred to him to do some housework too - wonders will never cease!
