Dumping the tumble dryer and Ecoforce giveaway

We have a tumble dryer, but it broke before christmas and we  couldn't afford to get it repaired, so I have been managing with an old fashioned wooden clothes rail and hanging bedding over the doors to dry,

This last would of weeks however, I have been hanging the washing outside and it has been drying much quicker and with less creases, so I am going to take the plunge and instead of getting the dryer replaced I am going to give it away.

Ecoforce heard me on twitter bemoaning the fact that I was chasing laundry round the garden as my pegs were not working and very kindly sent me some of their Ecoforce pegs to try and they have been fab.

So in conjunction with Ecoforce I have a year's supply of green cleaning and washing up wonder products worth £50 comprising the following:

EcoForce Peg Basket x 1
EcoForce Clothes Line x1
EcoForce Pegs x 2 packs
Several of each of: EcoForce sponges, scourers, cloths, duster and bag grips
Dishmatic
Dishmatic Refills x 2
Dishmatic Steel Scourer (or brush)

  4. I've been avoiding using the tumble drier for ages because of the cost of electricity, I can't remember where I saw it but I saw a break down of someone's electricity used in a day and the tumble drier doubled it, I used to use it loads, but I think we are still using as much electricity thanks to all the hairdryers/tongs/straighteners which are apparently obligatory for two 14-year-old girls!

  5. I occasionally dry my washing outside but where we share washing lines it is sometimes hard to get a washing line. I prefer my washing drying outside.

    ReplyDelete
  6. I have one but try to just use it when I really need it like when its raining. Also with 6 of us its a pain having washing drying inside.

    ReplyDelete
  7. I dry as much as possible outside, what stops me is the almost relentless rain and drizzle in Manchester - and I often have no choice but to wash because as there are so many of us, a day off is a potential nightmare. I did get 3 loads dried outside on Saturday though!

  8. I do dry my washing outside when the weather allows, as i don't really like using the dryer as it costs too much especially if you have to wash every day. Wish someone would invent an umbrella for the washing line like a parasol so i can use it more often.

    ReplyDelete
  9. I dry my washing outside whenever I can(weather permitting). I only use my tumble drier in emergencies and only in winter. In the winter months I hang the clothes on a rack in a spare bedroom and they are helped to dry quicker by the dehumidifier.

I can't wait for the hot summer weather!
